2012 - ROLLIN' 50'S CLASSIC CAR SHOW |
A Blast to the Past
By Naiesha Thobe, Teen Scribe
Greenville's annual Rollin' 50's Classic Car Show was hosted Saturday
on Broadway. The car show hit its 30th year this year, but the many
years dedicated to showing off cars has not drained the excitement that
the city feels for it. The Fall Cruise-In lasted from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
and attracted visitors of all shapes and sizes. Both sides of Broadway
were lined with vehicles, some clearly historical while some were
newer. There were not only cars... Read

Reintroducing Aprill
By Bob Robinson
When I stop and think about my journey here in Darke County, Ohio, I
sometimes become overwhelmed at how fortunate I’ve been. I sat in the
editor’s chair of The Daily Advocate for seven years and led a talented
editorial department to many team and personal awards from Associated
Press and parent company Brown Publishing. Community support grew to...

By Mona Lease
Hi, all! I left you with the question - In the movie The Wizard of Oz -
"Who said the Wizard was a wizard?" Answer - "The Munchkins."
Critical Thinking - With their limited understanding (we all have
"limited" understanding), the Munchkins reasoned that only someone with
exceptional mental capabilities could "fall from the sky - from another
world." They could not do that. In the end... Read

NOTES
& THOUGHTS
FROM
THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15,
2012 |
Last
night was a nightmare. A power outage kept CNO Saturday offline all
night. To top it off, two separate mistakes were made on our lead
story, Tri-Village’s Cheer Competition, making it impossible to read
until mid-afternoon. Consequently, CNO is running it again as a Sunday
sports story. Be sure to check it out… it’s worthy of your time.
