Library Open House & a Movie
The Friends of the Greenville Public Library are again hosting a
Holiday Open House on Saturday December 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m. at the Library. This annual event is always a festive and
fun party for young and old. The “cookie table” is full of a wide
variety of delicious treats with coffee and fruit punch. Santa
& Mrs. Claus meet with kids to have their picture taken for free -
and beautiful live music and Christmas decorations add to the holiday
spirit. The Friends of the Library promote literacy and support the

Suspect runs from police, but denies wrong doing
On Nov. 22 police responded to the 400 block of Washington Street
regarding a suspect yelling and beating on the windows of a Ritter
Plumbing van with a traffic cone. He was breaking the windows. Police
observed the suspect running away and falling in the area of Wayne and
Walker. He got up and continued running. Police told him to stop, which
