Smith, Surber, students honored at School Board

GREENVILLE – The Greenville City School District Board of Directors
accepted the resignations of several teachers, coaches and staff
members at its regular monthly meeting on June 13. Notable among these
were Michelle Smith, 32-year Vocal Music Teacher and the leader of
Greenville’s successful Wavaires program. Smith was also the District’s
Vocal Music Director and Fine Arts Department Chair. She resigned for

Marionettes at the Library
Greenville Public Library's “Family Fun Day” last week was
wonderful. Minnetrista Theater brought to life five Aesop fables
in a delightful use of shadow puppets, quirky characters costumes, and
