GREENVILLE — A large garage was destroyed this morning and the blaze
caused damage to more than 10 adjacent buildings. The three-alarm fire
was in the 200 block of Washington Avenue close to Devor Street near
downtown Greenville. Six fire departments responded to the scene to
assist the Greenville Fire Department and the flames are under control.
The fire caused damage to eight nearby homes, which are located tightly
