Kiwanis feeds a steady stream of customers

GREENVILLE – Kiwanis of Greenville fed pancakes, sausage and apple
sauce to a steady stream of hungry customers March 15 at its annual
Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. The event was held at First United
Methodist Church of Greenville. Jim Schaar, Kiwanis treasurer, said
traffic was steady throughout the morning as 359 people showed up for
all-you-can-eat pancakes with sausage, apple sauce and choice of drink.

Drugs, alcohol and more keep police busy
On March 14 police were dispatched to Harrison Avenue regarding a
possible dead body. A male subject was lying on the floor of the
bathroom, purple/blue in color. There was a syringe about half full of
a clear substance suspected to be heroin. There was also a silver spoon
