Traffic stop possibly opiate related
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that his office stopped a male
subject for OVI on May 13th, 2014. As part of a
concentrated effort to battle the heroin problem in Mercer County,
Sheriff Grey assigned extra patrols in an effort to combat the
problem. This is the first arrest that the “Heroin Unit” has
made. Arrested was 22 year old Derek C Sutter of Celina, Ohio.
Sutter was stopped at 6:10 pm on Us Rte 127 near Johnston
Road. Sutter was charged with Failure to Stop for a Stop
