Student achievement recognized in East awards assembly
GREENVILLE – Feb. 13 was awards time at East Intermediate School, but
before the gymnasium had filled and East Principal Kitty Zumbrink got
to the business at hand, a “young” lady, Cindi Koontz, stole the show.
She wore a huge heart with the message “East – I’m back” with lots of
small hearts in different sizes and colors, rose-tinted heart-shaped
glasses, braided hair, a crown and a magic wand. When the kids saw her
