CCP seen as a positive for college-bound students
DARKE COUNTY – “Our goal is to give more students an affordable college
opportunity,” said State Senator and Ohio Senate President Keith Faber
about new legislation passed by the Legislature and signed into law by
Gov. John Kasich on June 16. HB 487 is designed to do exactly that. The
bill creates the College Credit Plus (CCP) program which goes into
effect the 2015-16 school year. CCP is mandatory for all local public
school districts and Ohio public institutions of higher education.
