Crop damage is a reality; the unknown is how much
DARKE COUNTY – “Has there been damage? Absolutely. Not a doubt. There
is potentially a lot of damage if this weather continues… how much? Too
soon to tell.” Jon Everman, Executive Director of the Farm Service
Agency, USDA, Greenville, said the prime crops – corn, soybeans, wheat
and hay – have been impacted due to the unusually wet spring, plus this
year the additional impact of unusually cold weather. “Corn is probably
