Lung transplant surgery a 50-50 chance… but worth it
GREENVILLE – Dean Besecker has COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary
Disease). He has been “facing” it for five years. According to his
wife, Gail, he’s been going downhill. He’s prepping – and waiting – for
a lung transplant, and has been part of the Rehabilitation program at
Wayne HealthCare since January. He was in Pulmonary Rehab. Then he
found out he had a heart blockage… got a stint put in the same day.
