Voter registrations are up; turnout likely to be higher
GREENVILLE – A number of voters registering for the first time were
primarily due to the petitions being signed during the summer. Also,
according to Jean Anderson, Darke County Board of Elections, the last
two weeks before the deadline there were a number of new registrations.
The total new registrations wasn’t available at the time. As of Oct. 20
three military overseas absentee ballots have been received, 298
ballots have been mailed out (with 90 returned so far) and 222 have
