Duck Derby & Duck-N-Run 5K Winners Announced
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Shelby and Darke County held their 12th
Annual Duck Derby and Duck-N-Run 5K at Tawawa Park in Sidney on
Thursday, June 28. This year’s Duck Derby had 3,138 ducks “adopted” by
community members and local corporate sponsors and raced in nearby

Inaugural Edison State Softball Car Show Is Saturday
The 1st Annual Edison State Car Show will be held on Saturday, July 14,
2018, from 12:00–3:00 p.m. at Edison State Community College on Looney
Road in Piqua. Proceeds from the event will help support the Edison
State women’s softball team. In the event of rain, the show will be

Garst
Museum… Historical Markers Are
Restored
After many months of restoration, the Garst Museum and Annie Oakley
historical markers have been repainted and installed at numerous
locations around Greenville and Darke County. According to Dick Brown,
local historian, the cast signs advertising the Garst Museum date back
to 1971. Mr. Brown believes they were an idea of Ralph Gelder. Mr.
