Stacys accept DAR Distinguished Citizen Medal
National Defense DAR Distinguished Citizen Medal and certificate was
awarded to U.S. Navy Petty Officer Kenton Stacy. His parents David and
Tracey accepted the medal for Kenton. He is currently getting medical
treatment in Houston, Texas. Stacy, a 2002 graduate of Greenville High
School, is recovering from injuries sustained as a result of an
improvised explosive device (IED), which exploded during a hospital

Darke County Sheriff... Two-vehicle injury accident on U.S. 127
At approximately 4:12 p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to
a two vehicle injury accident on US 127 north of Horatio Harris Creek
Road along with Greenville Township Rescue and Greenville Township Fire
Department. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 Buick
LeSabre driven by Jarrod Archer (18), of Arcanum, was traveling
southbound on US 127. Mr. Archer’s vehicle traveled into the

Stan Evans Named Holiday Evening Chairmen
Prominent local business leader, Stan Evans, has been named Chairman of
The Edison Foundation’s 21st Annual Holiday Evening at Edison State.

Tourism spending jumps to $74 million
annually
GREENVILLE, OH – The Darke County Visitors Bureau released the results
of the recently received 2017 Tourism Economic Report, commissioned by
the Bureau and the state of Ohio and compiled by Tourism Economics, a
division of Oxford Economics Company. The report showed total tourism
