February 2, 2011 - DARKE COUNTY - A Level 2 Ice/Snow Emergency is in effect for Darke County.

LEVEL 2 SNOW EMERGENCY 
A level two-snow advisory means that roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads can be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. People should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Obviously, if you are driving, use extreme caution.

Two feet of snow

I plan ahead for the incoming weather. Try to get a few grocery supplies in the house, even some potato chips, cookies, ice-cream ─  you know, the comfort food that adds calories (which I don't need). But, so comforting! Lots of traffic yesterday… people couldn’t go anywhere, so they used the time to explore County News Online. For those who checked us out for the first time… welcome! We hope you come back.
