Petition to Repeal
Senate Bill 5
ATTENTION!!! The first opportunity for Darke County residents to sign
the petition to repeal Senate Bill 5 will be in the former Marsh's
Parking Lot in Greenville (around 125 Martin Street) this Friday, April
29, from 3:15 to 5:30 PM.
Jim Surber, Sandy Hoying, myself, and hopefully several others who have
volunteered to be trained petition circulators will be in the parking
lot in front of the former Marsh's with clipboards and petitions
specifically for voters who are registered to vote in Darke County. We
will provide opportunities to others at a later time.
All you need to do is help us spread the word to your families,
friends, and co-workers who would like to sign this petition so that
you and they can drive into the parking lot, sign, and then leave. What
could be simpler?
Please let your co-workers know about this, especially people who might
not have received this e-mail sent to GEA reps from each building!
If you know people who are not yet registered to vote, Sandy Hoying
<shoying@greenville.k12.oh.us> can register people to vote at
this event provided they qualify. There are some rules about
citizenship, residency, and reaching 18 years prior to the general
election. You can contact her if you have questions about teens who
will turn 18 between now and the election in November. I suspect they
may be eligible to register to vote, but they might not be eligible to
sign our petition.
