First of two parts
U.S. Speaker of the House and District 8 Congressman John Boehner
toured Rebsco, Inc. Monday afternoon as part of a tour of his district,
where he is meeting with selected businesses and individuals.
The Rebsco media event attracted the attention of ABC’s Good Morning
America and national online news service Politico, as well as local and regional media.
Boehner met privately with a number of local individuals, including
Rebsco President Tyeis Baker-Baumann, before touring the facility.
“Speaker Boehner has a good concept of the value of small business,”
she said. “He’s touring his District. I believe he started in Hamilton
today, then will be headed to Mercer and Miami Counties. He’s supposed
to be in Dayton tomorrow.”
She added that he’s also a strong supporter of agriculture.
“That’s our county,” she said, “and it’s also one of the focuses of our
company.”
She said the discussion with the Speaker revolved mainly around the
fundamentals: the energy crisis, the economy and the health care
legislation.
“There are lots of issues,” she said. “The mandates of EPA and OSHA are
really a concern for all of us.”
Rebsco, Inc., is a provider of customized agricultural, aggregate,
asphalt and structural steel products. They custom design products such
as bucket elevators, pellet mills, mixers, channel and field conveyors,
