Dayton
Business Journal… Kasich
addresses Dayton business leaders - January 11, 2011
New Ohio Gov. John Kasich said the state of Ohio needs some quick wins
to get on track.
Kasich, the keynote speaker at the Dayton Development Coalition’s
annual meeting on Tuesday, looked comfortable on stage as rifled
through his plans to create a more business-friendly state. It was his
first appearance since wrapping up his almost two days worth of
inaugural events.
“If we preserve the income tax cut and balance the budget, we will
shock America,” Kasich told a group of more than 1,200 at the Schuster
Center. “Hang in there with us, become part of the team.”
Jim Leftwich, president and chief executive officer of the coalition,
said the DDC will be more focused in its efforts in 2011, which
includes a push to build jobs around the unmanned aircraft industry.
