Congressman
John Boehner...
Restoring
Ohio Job Creators’
Confidence In Our Economy
Last
week, Ohio’s unemployment figures
for the month of May were announced, showing the state’s labor force
and the
number of employed workers rising slightly, but unemployment overall
continuing
to sit at unacceptable levels. The
Buckeye State economy is showing some hints of improvement because of
Governor
Kasich and the pro-growth policies his administration has implemented. But job growth in our
state – as in other
states – is still being hampered by the policies of the Democrats who
run
Washington. We have
to change this.
While
President Obama and his allies
continue to stand-by their failed economic policies, House Republicans
are
working to help create an environment where economic growth is
encouraged and
Ohio job creators are once again confident in our economy.
We
put forth a pro-growth jobs plan
that builds on our Pledge to America.
This plan focuses on removing government
barriers to job growth and aims
to empower small businesses, families, and entrepreneurs instead of
holding
them back with over-taxing, over-regulating, and over-spending.
I
will continue to urge the President
and Senate Democrats to change course and work with us to enact these
necessary
reforms.
Sincerely,
John
Boehner

Plan For America’s Job
Creators Provides A Serious Blueprint For Job Creation
“One
year ago, the Obama
administration launched its ‘Recovery Summer’ publicity tour to bolster
flagging
support for the ‘stimulus’ spending binge it had launched in 2009. ‘the
fact
is, the recovery act is working,’ said Vice President Biden, referring
to the
‘stimulus.’ but the fact is, it didn’t work. ‘Recovery Summer’ fizzled,
much
like the ‘stimulus’ itself. Republicans have a real blueprint for job
creation
— the ‘Plan for America’s Job Creators.’
What makes our plan different is that it
focuses on one thing: removing
government barriers to private-sector job growth.”
