Congressman Jim
Jordan speaks to Liberty Group
By Lyn Bliss, Senior Scribe
“You are taking a big risk by having me here. It is dangerous, as
Congress only has a 12% approval rating at this time.” was one of
Congressman Jim Jordan’s opening remarks as he addressed the Sidney
Shelby County Liberty Group recently. Jordan represents Ohio’s fourth
congressional district.
“But, we do have the first amendment and that means you can yell at me
if you don’t like what I say!” continued Jordan.
“We are the greatest county in the world and the greatest nation in
history; we have problems that need fixed and we have a window of
opportunity to fix those problems.”
Throughout his presentation, Jordan stressed that the newly elected
Republicans were going to have to make sure they act like Republicans
and do what the voters expect of them.
Jordan took questions from the audience dealing with: 2012 election,
what Republicans are, bail outs, Defense of Marriage Act, Right to
Life, collective bargaining, reducing government debt, net
neutrality/fairness act, Planned Parenthood, big government v.
business, role of three branches of government, foreign relations,
health care, energy debate/domestic resources, middle-East, taxes,
caring for our needy citizens, social security, and our military.

Shelby County Liberty Group. His answers to numerous questions are
contained in this video. Please keep in mind that this video was done
using a handheld still camera with video capabilities.... this is in no
way purported to be a professional presentation. However, it is
purported to be a fair representation of what the Congressman had to
say to the group.
