Ohio is home to the fifth-largest share of Fortune 500 U.S. companies.
A total of 27 Buckeyes companies made annual list.

A total of 27 Buckeyes companies made annual list, including West
Chester-based AK Steel.
Ohio’s tally of 27 Fortune 500 companies is an increase of four
companies from 2010 and puts the state at No. 5 in the nation. New York
leads the list with inclusions.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. again ranks No. 1 with $422 billion in annual
sales.
The rest of the top five are Exxon Mobil Corp., Chevron Corp.,
ConocoPhillips and FannieMae.
Others in the top 10 include General Electric Co., Berkshire Hathaway
Inc., General Motors Co., Bank of America Corp. and Ford Motor Co.
The top ranking Ohio company is Columbus-based Cardinal Health Inc. at
No. 19.
Rounding out the top three among Ohio companies are grocer Kroger Co.
and consumer products giant Procter & Gamble Co., which slipped
from its No. 2 ranking in the Buckeye State.

107) Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. (No. 127), Goodyear Tire &
Rubber Co. (No. 139), Progressive Corp. (No. 164), American Electric
Power (No. 169) Eaton Corp. (178) and First Energy (No. 183).
The other Ohio companies are Parker Hannifin Corp. (No. 248) Limited
Brands Inc. (No. 258) Sherwin-Williams Co. (No. 308), Fifth Third
Bancorp (No. 326), Owens-Illinois Inc. (No. 345), Dana Holding Corp.
(No. 376), AK Steel Holding (No. 383), TravelCenters of America (No.
385), KeyCorp (No. 417), Lubrizol Corp. (No. 423), Momentive Specialty
Chemicals (No. 433), Owens Corning (No. 448), Big Lots Inc. (No. 453)
Western & Southern Financial Group (No. 456), Cliffs Natural
Resources Inc. (No. 477), J.M Smucker Co. (No. 482) and American
Financial Group (No. 489).
