October 14, 2011
Dayton,
Ohio – The Dayton Gems
professional hockey team, a proud member of the Central Hockey League,
officially unveiled details on the team’s Internet broadcast
partnerships for
the upcoming 2011-2012 CHL season. New for this season is the addition
of Wave96.net
as the official Internet radio carrier for all 66 Dayton Gems regular
season
games, along with the team’s two preseason matchups against Fort Wayne,
both
home and away. Streaming live play-by-play action in high quality,
Wave96.net
can be heard online in multiple formats (Flash, Windows audio,
Quicktime etc),
as well as on the station’s facebook page and on most popular
smartphones.
Based
in Greenville, Ohio and
featuring a “Top 40” musical format, Wave96.net general manager Terence
Keaser
welcomed the Gems, saying “we’re proud to be the carrier of each Dayton
Gems
game this season, and excited to partner with the local leader in
providing
affordable family entertainment in our region.” Helping to facilitate
the
partnership in his first season, Gems Director of Media Relations and
play-by-play man JT Szabo echoed Keaser’s excitement by noting
“partnering with
a great local streaming provider like Wave96.net helps further our
commitment
to our surrounding communities, and helps us reach a wider audience
than we’ve
ever done before while upgrading the listeners experience over last
season.”
Wave96.net
officially begins covering
the Gems when the team hosts the Komets in the first preseason tuneup
on
Cassano’s Italian Ice at Hara Arena this Friday at 7pm and then again
on Sunday
at 5pm from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.
Broadcasts on
Wave96.net will begin ten minutes prior to faceoff with the Dayton Gems
pregame
show.
Returning
for 2011-2012, The Central
Hockey League and NeuLion, Inc. announced CHL-TV will provide fans a
third
season of online video coverage of CHL games.
Powered
by NeuLion, fans receive
coverage of all 14 teams in the CHL and will air regular season
schedule and
the CHL’s post-season. CHL-TV is the exclusive home for online video
broadcasts
of CHL games expanding the reach of the league, its teams and its
players to a
global audience. Fans can purchase individual CHL games for viewing at
$7.00
per or they have the option of purchasing several different packages
including
an All Access Pass, a Team Pass (all 6 games of one CHL team) or a Team
Away
Pass (all road games of one individual team).
A
new option for fans that will be
introduced as the season progresses is 5-game and 10-game packages.
These
present significant savings from the individual game price. Fans can
purchase a
5-game package for $30.00 (a $6.00 per game average) and a 10-game
package for
$55.00 (a $5.50 per game average and a $1.50 savings compared to the
individual
game prices). Archived games are once again available this season for
the same
price as the 2010-11 season, $4.00 per game. Early Bird Pricing for the
2011-12
season is now available for the All Access Pass and the Team Pass
representing
a $20.00 discount on the All Access Pass ($267.00) and a $10.00
