Darke County Drug Task Force...
“Drug Take
Back” Deemed another Success
80 Lbs. of prescription pills turned in for Drug Task Force, Solid
Waste and Darke County Family Health joint program.
On April 28, 2012 the Darke County Drug Task Force, Darke County Solid
Waste, and Darke County Family Health participated in the DEA Drug Take
Back Initiative. This is a time where citizens can take their
expired or unwanted medications and turn them in to be properly
disposed of. This drug take back yielded approximately 80 pounds
of prescription pills. Those pills, if improperly dispose of,
could have otherwise contaminated the soil or waterways in Darke
County. If you were unable to attend this event the Darke County
Drug Task Force, Darke County Solid Waste, and Darke County Family
Health plan to continue this service to the community when made
available by the DEA.
