Save-A-Lot
robbed, owner tied up in Union City
Staff Report
UNION CITY, Indiana — Police are looking for two black males who robbed
the Save-A-Lot on West Deerfield Road late Sunday night.
Officers said the men were wearing ski masks, and were armed. When
officers arrived, they found the owner bound with zip-ties. He had been
hit at least once, but refused transport to the hospital.
Police said the robbers demanded money from the register and got away
with an undetermined amount of money.
Investigators said they are hoping surveillance cameras from nearby
businesses may have caught the men fleeing the store.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio is assisting with the
investigation.
