Appointed to Third Frontier Advisory Board
COLUMBUS – State
Senator Bill Beagle (R–Tipp City) today announced that he has been
appointed to
the Third Frontier Advisory Board by Senate President Tom Niehaus
(R–New
Richmond).
“Serving on the Third Frontier Advisory Board will allow me to leverage
my
private sector experience in finance to be an effective advocate for
the Miami
Valley economy,” Beagle said. “I am looking forward to working on this
board to
ensure that the Third Frontier program succeeds in driving successful
tech-based business ventures with the ultimate goal of creating jobs
and
economic opportunity.”
Ohio’s Third Frontier program, administered by a nine-member
commission, is
designed to offer entrepreneurial support and workforce development to
expand
opportunity in the state’s technology industry.
The Third Fontier Advisory Board consists of 16 members representing
industry,
academia, and government. The board advises the Third Frontier
Commission on
strategic planning and general management as well as coordination of
programs
associated with the Ohio Third Frontier.
