All snow
advisories and emergencies cancelled
Also, DBJ: Heavy snow, wind weigh on Dayton region, plus a WHIO-TV video
At 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Sheriff Toby Spencer brought Darke County back
to a Level 1 snow advisory. At 1:45 p.m. all snow advisories and
emergencies were cancelled.
“Some secondary roadways remain snow and ice covered; extra caution
should be exercised while driving.”
The county had been moved to a Modified Level 3 at 6 a.m., then Level 2
at 8 a.m.
While most businesses are operating normally again, both Edison
campuses (Greenville and Piqua) remained closed due to hazardous road
conditions in Darke and Miami Counties.
There were no reports of power outages or major damage in Darke County.

Dayton’s first major snowstorm has caused many businesses and schools
to close early on Wednesday, but so far power outages remain low.
As of noon 128 local businesses had reported closing all day or early
to WDTN Channel 2 News.
In Warren, Greene, Montgomery and Shelby counties there were a total of
12 reported power outages, as of noon according to DP&L. However
just east of Dayton, in Fayette County, 272 cases of power outages have
been reported…
