Injured in Crash
On February 27, 2012 at 6:46 AM, Darke County Deputies along with
Versailles Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a one vehicle, injury
crash in the 9300 block of Conover Road. Investigation revealed
that the driver, Macy Dirksen, 16, of Bradford, was driving a 2003
Mercury Grand Marquis northbound on Conover Road when she lost control
of her vehicle and drove off the right side of the roadway. The
vehicle struck and sheared off a utility pole and then struck a large
tree.
Careflight was called to the scene and transported Ms. Dirksen to Miami
Valley Hospital where she is listed in stable condition. The
accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s
Office.
