Crime Stoppers launch new web link
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Darke
County Crime Stoppers, has launched a new web link for unsolved cases.
If you know of any information that might help solve the following
crime, you may provide it anonymously be calling the tip line below.
There is an award available.
CASE DETAILS
On 01-05-12 at 9:12 a.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched
to Birt’s Store in New Weston, Ohio in reference to a Burglary (not in
progress). Investigation revealed a subject forced entry through the
front door to gain entry into the building. The subject walked around
inside the building looking at various items inside the store.
The subject attempted to gain entry into an ATM machine. The subject
was wearing a half mask and gloves. The subject made eye contact with
camera on several occasions. The subject carried two pry bars,
flashlight and possibly a walkie talkie while inside the building.
In the same area Mercer Landmark and Moody’s Repair were Burglarized
with forced entry on the same date.
