Montgomery, chair of the board for The Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership
Institute, announced that Lyn Bliss of Darke County graduated from the
prestigious statewide Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute at a
recent
ceremony that took place in Washington D.C.
“These
outstanding women leaders are dedicated to applying their experience
and skills
to community and public service,” said Montgomery. “It is inspiring to
watch
their growth and commitment to a better future for our state and our
communities.”
The
Institute’s nine-month leadership training provides professional

women aspiring to become leaders in public service, community service
and the
Republican Party. Extensive studies are offered in local, state and
federal
governments, as well as instruction in public policy, public speaking,
politics
and political campaigns. This
year, the
final week of training took place in Washington D.C., where national
congressional leaders and representatives from national corporations
addressed
the Institute.
Since its first class in 2001, 221 women
from 53 counties have completed the leadership course.
In the fall, the Institute will begin
its
13th class. Applications
