A Miami
County equipment manufacturer plans to relocate a Cleveland-area
subsidiary to
its local headquarters.
Piqua-based
French Oil Mill Machinery Co. announced its TMP Inc. division will move
on Aug.
8.
Acquired in
2009, TMP supplies its own line of technologically advanced hydraulic
presses,
rubber mixers, related components, controls and auxiliary equipment.
“Moving TMP
into our Piqua headquarters is an additional step we are taking in
order to
further improve our company’s customer service and support,” said
Daniel
French, the company’s chairman and president, in a statement.
French Oil
Mill has 78 employees in Piqua and will add three more when the move is
complete. That’s up from 63 people early last year.
The firm
manufactures equipment for three industries: the oilseed group makes
machines
that extract vegetable oils from seeds and nuts for food, commercial
products
and industrial uses, such as biodiesel fuel; the polymer group makes
presses
for manufacturing synthetic rubber and for separating solids and
liquids; and
the hydraulic group makes presses for molding items such as auto parts,
sporting goods and the medical industry. This includes everything from
blood
sample tube stoppers to windshield wipers and rubber bumper mounts.
The
company, which launched in 1900, has 225,000 square feet in Piqua.
