The Dayton
region will take center stage in presidential politics this weekend.
House
Speaker John Boehner and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney
will
hold their first joint rally in Troy. The Washington Post says the
joint event
is the latest instance of Romney teaming up with Republicans on Capitol
Hill.
He has asked several members to serve as his liaisons to House and
Senate
Republicans.
WDTN
Channel 2, a news partner of the Dayton Business Journal, reports that
Boehner
will join Romney on Sunday afternoon and that Romney will make a stop
at K’s
Hamburger Shop in Troy. K’s Hamburger Shop is no stranger to political
visits.
Rick Santorum stopped in ahead of Ohio’s presidential primary and Dan
Quayle
also popped in for a burger during his tenure as vice president,
according to
WDTN.
Ohio is
expected once again to be a decisive state in the November presidential
election.
