Business
social media use is highest by far on Facebook

More
businesses are using Facebook in their social media strategies than any
other
network, a new study says.
The report
from InSite Consulting shows that 80 percent of American companies use
Facebook, compared to 45 percent that have a Twitter account, 48
percent that
are present on LinkedIn and 31 percent who use YouTube.
The survey
also found that six out of 10 U.S. companies said they listen to
consumer
conversations on social media. Eight out of ten American companies said
they
answer client questions and complaints via social media.
Despite
widespread use of social media, the study found little integration of
it in
business overall strategy.
Only 11
percent of the companies said they integrate their social media
approach into
their overall corporate strategy while 17 percent are currently moving
in that
direction.
Almost 1 of 4 (26 percent) of companies
said they are doing nothing with social media and have no plans to do
so.
