Man Charged With Attempted Murder
May 07,
2012
On Monday,
May 7, 2012 at approximately 4:10 p.m., the Darke County 911 Center
received a
call from a wife reporting that she had been slapped during a domestic
dispute
where threats of personal injury had been made; adding that her husband
was now
going after his gun. Darke County deputies were immediately dispatched
to 13394
US Route 127 in northern Darke County which is a few miles south of
North Star.
As deputies
were responding, it was learned that the husband had fired a shot at
his wife
but had missed; no injuries were sustained.
Other family members were close by, but
were not injured either. As
responding deputies arrived on scene they
arrested 33 year old Justin Douglas Thomas of that address without
incident. Mr.
Thomas was transported to
the Darke County Jail where he is being held on the initial charge of
Attempted
Murder.
In addition to this most recent charge, Mr.
Thomas is currently out on bond for an incident that occurred in
September of
2011 where he was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Abduction which
also
involved a gun. That
incident is
scheduled for trial starting May 30th, 2012.
