Companies Expected to Expand or Open Operations around Ohio

COLUMBUS –
Gov. John R. Kasich today announced the approval of 18 proposals that
are
expected to collectively create 1,217 jobs and retain 4,576 jobs. Through collaboration and
communication
between the Governor’s Office, JobsOhio and its regional partners,
these
projects were delivered to the Ohio Tax Credit Authority and approved
on
Monday. As a result, more than $200 million in capital investment and
$49
million in new payroll is expected to be injected into communities
across the
state.
Projects
approved by the TCA include:
CareSource
Management Group Co. Inc. (Location TBD) expects to create 150
full-time
positions, generating $6.3 million in additional annual payroll (and
retaining
$59.3 in existing payroll) as a result of the company’s expansion
project.
CareSource is a leading public sector care company and is one of the
largest
Medicaid managed care plans in Ohio and the country. The Ohio Tax
Credit
Authority approved a 40 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for
the
project.
Empire
Packing Company (Location TBD) expects to create 200 full-time
positions,
generating $4.9 million in new annual payroll as a result of the
company’s
expansion at a new location which is still to-be-determined. Empire
Packing is
considered an expert in the perishable merchandising industry. The Ohio
Tax
Credit Authority approved a 50 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax
Credit for
the project.
Patented
Acquisition Corporation, (Location TBD) expects to create 23 full-time
positions, generating $1.2 million in additional annual payroll (and
retaining
$5.1 million in existing payroll) as a result of the company’s
expansion
project at a location to-be-determined. Patented Acquisition
Corporation’s
primary lines of business consist of conventional printing, digital
services,
and promotional products. Patented Acquisition Corporation is also an
award
winning graphic communications company. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority
approved
a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Western
Ohio
Corbus,
LLC, City of Miamisburg (Montgomery Co.) expects to create 58 full-time
positions,
generating $4 million in additional annual payroll (and retaining $2.7
million
in existing payroll) as a result of the company’s expansion project in
the City
of Miamisburg (Montgomery Co.). Corbus provides information technology,
supply
chain management, and project management services. The Ohio Tax Credit
Authority approved a 50 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for
the
project.
Industry
Products Company, City of Piqua (Miami Co.) expects to create 50
full-time
positions, generating $1.3 million in additional annual payroll (and
retaining
$13.2 million in existing payroll) as a result of the company’s
expansion
project in the City of Piqua (Miami Co.). Industry Products serves the
world’s
largest automobile manufacturers, providing high-quality tooling,
manufacturing, and assembly of cargo and trunk systems, acoustic and
water
shield solutions, and protective in-transit materials. The Ohio Tax
Credit
Authority approved a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for
the
project.
Midmark
Corporation, Village of Versailles (Darke Co.) expects to retain 761
existing
employees and $43.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the
company’s
retention in the Village of Versailles (Darke Co.). Midmark Corporation
provides products and services for the healthcare industry, integrating
technology for efficient and effective patient care. The Ohio Tax
Credit
Authority approved a 20 percent, ten-year Job Retention Tax Credit for
the
project.
Central
Ohio
Allied
Mineral Products, Inc., City of Columbus (Franklin Co.) expects to
create 44
full-time positions, generating $1.8 million in additional annual
payroll (and
retaining $13 million in existing payroll) as a result of the company’s
expansion project in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.). Allied is
known for
its work in the foundry, steel, aluminum, copper, and zinc metal
markets. The
Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 45 percent, eight-year Job
Creation Tax
Credit for the project.
Autotool,
Inc., Jerome Township (Union Co.) expects to create 30 full-time
positions,
generating $1.3 million in additional annual payroll (and retaining
$1.5
million in existing payroll) as a result of the company’s expansion
project in
Jerome Township (Union Co.). Autotool provides automotive manufacturers
and
their suppliers with tooling and automation needs. The Ohio Tax Credit
Authority approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for
the
project.
Discover
Financial Services, Inc., City of New Albany (Franklin Co.) expects to
create
162 full-time positions, generating $7.4 million in additional annual
payroll
(and retaining $66.5 million in existing payroll) as a result of the
company’s
expansion project in the City of New Albany (Franklin Co.). Discover is
a
banking company which provides an array of services including credit
cards,
student and personal loans, and deposit products. The Ohio Tax Credit
Authority
approved a 75 percent, 15-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Food Safety
Net Services-Ohio, LLC, City of Columbus (Franklin Co.) expects to
create 40
full-time positions, generating $1.3 million in new annual payroll as a
result
of the company’s new location in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.).
Food
Safety Net Services provides laboratory testing and consulting services
to improve
food safety and quality programs for food processors and food industry
professionals. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 45 percent,
five-year
Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Eastern /
Southeastern Ohio
Hadsell
Chemical Processing, LLC, Village of Waverly (Pike Co.) expects to
create 35
full-time positions, generating $1 million in additional annual payroll
(and
retaining $290,000 in existing payroll) as a result of the company’s
new
location in the Village of Waverly (Pike Co.). Hadsell Chemical
Processing
provides a production facility for chemical manufacturers looking to
introduce
new products on a pilot scale into the market. The Ohio Tax Credit
Authority
approved a 45 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the
project.
Infra-Metals
Co., Village of New Boston (Scioto Co.) expects to create 60 full-time
positions, generating $1.8 million in new annual payroll as a result of
the
company’s new location in the Village of New Boston (Scioto Co.).
Infra-Metals
operates steel service center warehouses that distribute steel
products. The
Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation
Tax
Credit for the project.
Northeast
Ohio
Fathom SEO,
LLC, Village of Valley View (Cuyahoga Co.) expects to create 36
full-time
positions, generating $1.4 million in additional annual payroll (and
retaining
$4.4 million in existing payroll) as a result of the company’s
expansion
project in the Village of Valley View (Cuyahoga Co.). Fathom is a
full-service
digital agency that helps clients meet business and financial goals.
The Ohio
Tax Credit Authority approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax
Credit
for the project.
LayerZero
Power Systems, Inc., City of Aurora (Portage Co.) expects to create 39
full-time positions, generating $1.8 million in new annual payroll as a
result
of the company’s new location in the City of Aurora (Portage Co.).
LayerZero
Power Systems designs power distribution and power quality monitoring
products
for data centers and mission-critical operations. The Ohio Tax Credit
Authority
approved a 45 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the
project.
Maines
Paper & Food Service – Cleveland, Inc., Village of Oakwood
(Cuyahoga Co.)
expects to create 100 full-time positions, generating $4.9 million in
new
annual payroll as a result of the company’s new location in the Village
of
Oakwood (Cuyahoga Co.). Maines
Paper and
Food Service is a leading independent food service distributor. The
Ohio Tax
Credit Authority approved a 50 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax
Credit for
the project.
RMI
Titanium Corporation dba RTI Alloys, City of Canton (Stark Co.) expects
to
create 17 full-time positions, generating $680,000 in additional annual
payroll
(and retaining $2.9 million in existing payroll) as a result of the
company’s
expansion project in the City of Canton (Stark Co.). The company
specializes in
advanced titanium in an array of fields including technology,
commercial
aerospace, energy, and chemical markets. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority
approved
a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
The RoviSys
Company Inc., City of Aurora (Portage Co.) expects to create 80
full-time
positions, generating $4.8 million in additional annual payroll (and
retaining
$13.9 million in existing payroll) as a result of the company’s
expansion
project in the City of Aurora (Portage Co.). The RoviSys Company
provides
process automation solutions and services to its clients in various
industries
in the United States and internationally. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority
approved a 50 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Thogus Products Company, City of Avon Lake
(Lorain Co.) expects to create 30 full-time positions, generating $1.6
million
in additional annual payroll (and retaining $4.8 million in existing
payroll)
as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Avon Lake
(Lorain
Co.). The company provides services to plastic molding manufacturers.
The Ohio
Tax Credit Authority approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax
Credit
for the project.
