One injured in
single vehicle accident
Ansonia - On November 20, 2012 at approximately 1443 P.M. Darke
County deputies, Ansonia P.D. and Ansonia Fire and Rescue were
dispatched to SR118 just north of the Ansonia Village limits in
reference to a one vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1996 Chevy S-10, driven by
Robert Christman (62) of Greenville, was southbound on SR118 and veered
off the right side of the roadway and struck a large metal sign.
Christman was trapped inside his vehicle for approximately 45
minutes. Ansonia Fire was on scene and was working on extricating
Christman from his vehicle. Ansonia Fire called for mutual aid
from Greenville City Fire. Christman was extricated from the
vehicle and was treated by Ansonia Rescue and was transported to Miami
Valley Hospital by CareFlight.
It is unknown at this time the reason for the accident and this
accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s
Office. The condition of Christman is unknown at this time.
