Two car accident sends one to hospital
Greenville - On October 23, 2012 at approximately 4:49 p.m. Darke
County Deputies, along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue, were
dispatched to SR49 and Hillgrove Woodington Rd. in reference to a two
vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1994 Chrysler New Yorker,
driven by Claire Stammen (23) of Versailles, was eastbound on Hillgrove
Woodington Rd. Stammen pulled up to the intersection at SR49 and had
stopped. Stammen then pulled out into the intersection in front of a
2010 Ford F-150, driven by Daniel Seger (37) of Rossburg, which was
northbound on SR49. Seger's vehicle then went off the northeast corner
of the intersection and came to final rest in a field.
Stammen was treated by Greenville Township Rescue and was transported
to Wayne Hospital. Seger and his two small children were treated at the
scene by Greenville Township Rescue, but refused treatment. Seger's two
small children were in their child restraints. Stammen was cited for
Failure to Yield at a Stop Sign.
