City of Greenville...
Garrison
appointed New Safety Service Director
By Bob Robinson
Greenville Mayor Mike Bowers announced the appointment of Curt
Garrison, former Village Administrator for Arcanum as his new Safety
Service Director, City of Greenville.
Garrison will start his new position October 1.
“I am excited about serving the City of Greenville,” Garrison said. “It
is bittersweet leaving the Village of Arcanum. I have been able
to accomplish many items during my tenure because of the people that
have surrounded me in Arcanum.
“I anticipate the same thing in Greenville,” he added. “I anticipate
serving with great people in Greenville, who given the best
opportunity, will continue to accomplish great things for the
Community.”
Bowers said he was pleased to bring Garrison aboard.
“Curt brings knowledge working with local government – especially
Arcanum’s Village Council – that will be valuable in his position
here,” Bowers said in a phone conversation.
Bowers added that he’d had a half dozen applications for the job but
had pursued Garrison.
“I have worked with him often with CIC (Community Improvement
Corporation),” Bowers said. CIC is the governing body for Darke
County’s economic development efforts. “I knew he would be right for
this job. He’s passionate about our growth and goals, and in carrying
out his responsibilities.”
Garrison thanked Bowers for the opportunity to serve with him as they
serve together the people of Greenville.
Garrison has been Village Administrator of Arcanum since September
2008, and a trained paramedic since 1996. He’s held the rank of Captain
with the Paramedic service for five years.
