Director
of Darke County Solid

Enterprises of
Cincinnati (EEI) on its bid of $9,645 for the county’s annual Household
Hazardous Waste pickup on Oct. 26. The bid is based upon anticipated
participation, but will be billed on poundage collected. Fourman told
the
commissioners she has gotten good reports on EEI. The commissioners
approved
the request.
As
an information item. Fourman
told the commissioners a contract has been signed between Darke County
Solid
Waste, Rumpke of Ohio and the Greenville City School District,
including GHS,
the junior high, middle, intermediate and elementary schools.
“Everyone
(all the school
districts) in the county is now into recycling,” Fourman added.
Greenville
citizen Charlie James
commented on the detail with which the county approves its spending in
its
public meetings.
“I
see value in letting citizens
know how their dollars are being spent,” he said.
