Ohio’s
'smartest' colleges revealed
Ohio
has two colleges in the top 50 and seven in the top 120 on
Luminosity’s ranking of America’s Smartest Colleges.
When
it comes to the smartest U.S. colleges, Ohio boasts some serious
brainpower. The state featured two colleges in the top 50 and seven
in the top 120, according to Luminosity’s ranking of America’s
Smartest Colleges.
Luminosity
— which has developed a program for brain training — measured
five areas: memory, processing speed, flexibility, attention and
problem solving among the students in the data base.
The
analysis of America’s Smartest Colleges came from its data base of
more than 50 million users.
In
Ohio, Case Western Reserve University was the highest ranked (No. 30)
followed by Oberlin College (No. 49). Others on the list included
Ohio Northern University (No. 80), The Ohio State University (No.
106), Miami University (No. 112) Ohio Wesleyan University (No. 116)
and Cedarville University (No. 118).
In
terms of other Dayton-area schools, the University of Dayton ranked
No. 183 and Wright State University was No. 210.
Washington
University in St. Louis ranked No. 1, followed by the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology and Princeton University.
