Larry Page
believes driverless cars can make the world a better place

Google’s cofounder and chief executive Larry Page is certain in his
belief that driverless cars are safer than human chauffeurs. In a
report published today by Fortune, the founder dutifully laid out his
company’s reasons for getting into the upstart industry.
Fortune described Page’s enumeration of the benefits of driverless cars
as "methodical," as he cited energy savings, productivity gains, cost
savings on parking, even automated pick-ups as the car detects your
phone moving towards a building exit.
According to the report:
Page makes the case for self-driving cars with the dispassionate logic
of an engineer. The father of two young children, Page insists that his
pet project, when ready, will actually enhance safety. Soon Google
(GOOG) will be able to simulate your driving.

and explained how he really feels about driverless cars…
