Injury
accident
on U.S. 36 near Palestine
On July
18, 2013 at approximately 10:36 A.M. Darke County
Deputies, Liberty
Township Fire, Tri Village Rescue and Care flight were dispatched to
the 100
block of E. Cross Street (Palestine) in reference to a vehicle rollover
with
injury.
Prelimary
investigation revealed a 2010 Toyota Prius driven by Gloria A. Hilty,
66, of
New Madison, Ohio was travelling west on US Rt. 36 just east of
Palestine. The
2010 Toyota Prius crossed the center line driving off the left side of
roadway.
The 2010 Toyota Prius struck a guard rail launching the vehicle into a
cement
bridge embankment coming to rest upside down in a yard. Gloria A. Hilty
was
flown by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital.
