Million in new investments to spur local
economies
COLUMBUS
– Today Governor John R. Kasich
announced the approval of assistance for 13 projects set to create
1,417 jobs
and retain 2,995 jobs statewide. Together the projects are expected to
result
in more than $57 million in new payroll, and spur approximately $86
million in
investment across Ohio. During their monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax
Credit
Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the
board by
JobsOhio and its regional partners.
Projects
approved by the TCA include:
Speed
FC, Inc. (Location TBD) expects to create
250 full-time positions, generating $6 million in additional annual
payroll and
retaining $5.5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s
expansion project at a to-be-determined location. Speed FC provides
e-commerce
services including website development, fulfillment and call center
services.
The TCA approved a 50 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for
this
project.
SOUTHWEST
OHIO
ANC,
LLC, City of Fairborn (Greene Co.) expects
to create 27 full-time positions, generating $1.3 million in additional
annual
payroll and retaining $2 million in existing payroll as a result of the
company’s acquisition project in the City of Fairborn (Greene Co.). ANC
is a
medical equipment manufacturer that provides engineering and
manufacturing
services. The TCA approved a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax
Credit for
this project.
Avure
Technologies, Inc., City of Middletown
(Butler Co.) expects to create 30 full-time positions, generating $1.9
million
in additional annual payroll as a result of the company’s new location
project
in the City of Middletown (Butler Co.). Avure Technologies designs,
manufactures, installs and provides service for high pressure
machinery. The
TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this
project.
Control
Concepts and Design Inc. dba
E-Technologies Group, West Chester Twp. (Butler Co.) expects to create
27
full-time positions, generating $2.3 million in additional annual
payroll and
retaining $8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s
expansion
project in West Chester Twp. (Butler Co.). E-Technologies Group
provides
engineering and information technology services. The TCA approved a 45
percent,
five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Custom
Molded Products, LLC dba NB Allen, Ltd.,
City of Wilmington (Clinton Co.) expects to create 40 full-time
positions,
generating $1.2 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $4
million
in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in
the City
of Wilmington (Clinton Co.). Custom Molded Products produces emergency,
dental,
automotive and home sundry items. The TCA approved a 45 percent,
six-year Job
Creation Tax Credit for this project.
DealerTrack,
Inc., City of Wilmington (Clinton
Co.) expects to create 213 full-time positions, generating $6 million
in
additional annual payroll and retaining $1.4 million in existing
payroll as a
result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Wilmington
(Clinton
Co.). DealerTrack’s primary line of business will be contract scanning
and
vehicle title administration services. The TCA approved a 50 percent,
seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Emery
Oleochemicals LLC, City of St. Bernard
(Hamilton Co.) expects to create 35 full-time positions, generating
$2.7
million in additional annual payroll and retaining $21 million in
existing
payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of
St.
Bernard (Hamilton Co.). Emery Oleochemicals is a natural-based chemical
producer. The TCA approved a 45 percent, five-year Job Creation Tax
Credit for
this project.
Epipheo,
Inc., City of Cincinnati (Hamilton
Co.) expects to create 100 full-time positions, generating $5.3 million
in
additional annual payroll and retaining $3.4 million in existing
payroll as a
result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Cincinnati
(Hamilton
Co.). Epipheo is an internet video studio providing online marketing
videos.
The TCA approved a 50 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for
this
project.
Praxair
Distribution, Inc., City of Wilmington
(Clinton Co.) expects to create 25 full-time positions, generating $1.1
million
in additional annual payroll as a result of the company’s new location
project
in the City of Wilmington (Clinton Co.). Praxair produces and
distributes high
pressure atmospheric and industrial gases for industrial and medical
uses. The
TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this
project.
CENTRAL
OHIO
Cellco
Partnership dba Verizon Wireless, City
of Hilliard (Franklin Co.) expects to create 500 full-time positions,
generating $20.8 million in additional annual payroll and retaining
$94.5
million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s consolidation
project
in the City of Hilliard (Franklin Co.).
Verizon Wireless offers wireless voice
and data service. The TCA
approved a 70 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
NORTHEAST
OHIO
Design
Dynamics, Inc. dba SMC Design Dynamics,
City of Twinsburg (Summit Co.) expects to create 20 full-time
positions,
generating $900,000 in additional annual payroll and retaining $504,000
in
existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the
City of
Twinsburg (Summit Co.). SMC Design Dynamics is a contract manufacturer
of
medical devices. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation
Tax
Credit for this project.
Lexi-Comp,
Inc. City of Hudson (Summit Co.)
expects to create 30 full-time positions generating $2.7 million in
additional
annual payroll and retaining $12 million in existing payroll as a
result of the
company’s expansion project in the City of Hudson (Summit Co.).
Lexi-Comp
provides drug information and clinical content for the healthcare
industry. The
TCA approved a 50 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this
project.
Westerman,
Inc., City of Wooster (Wayne Co.)
expects to create 120 full-time positions, generating $5.4 million in
additional annual payroll and retaining $4 million in existing payroll
as a
result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Wooster (Wayne
Co.)
Westerman is a manufacturer of technical products for global energy,
marine and
industrial end markets. The TCA approved a 40 percent, seven-year Job
Creation
Tax Credit for this project.
