Drug Takeback a success
Celina, OH – Mercer
County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that on April 26, 2014, the Mercer
County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Drug Take Back Event. The
event was held in the Sheriff’s Office parking lot and lasted four
hours. During the course of the event, the Sheriff’s Office
received 79 pounds of prescription pills and narcotic patches.
The
Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) will pick up the pills collected from
the event as well as pills collected in the permanent drug take back
box in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office. The total weight of
pills collected in Mercer County in less than six months is over 137
pounds.
