team to be in Cleveland April 30 for next step in competition to host
presidential convention

COLUMBUS,
Ohio -- Cleveland will get the last word in the next round of
evaluations for six cities vying to host the 2016 Republican National
Convention. It will be the last to get a visit from GOP staff.
The
Republican National Committee on Tuesday announced its schedule for
the next round of review -- “technical visits” to each of the six
cities. The visits will allow small teams of party staff to study
details such as the availability of financing, convention venues,
media workspace and hotels.
The
information gathered will be used to help determine which cities move
to the next round of evaluation and get official site visits from the
full RNC delegation.
Cleveland’s
technical visit is scheduled for April 30th. The technical visits
begin Wednesday in Denver. The schedule after that is: Las Vegas on
Thursday, Dallas on April 24, Kansas City on April 25 and Cincinnati
on April 29...
