Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced that his office is presently
investigating an injury crash that occurred on Celina Mendon Rd. at the
intersection of Howick Rd. The crash was reported to the
Sheriff’s Office on August 8, 2014 at approx. 10:28 a.m.
The investigation shows that Ida Meyers, Age 54, Hilliard, Ohio was
southbound in a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck on Celina Mendon Rd., north
of Howick Rd. A Kerry Zuercher, age 51, Celina, Ohio was
southbound on Celina Mendon Rd. in his 1999 Dodge pickup truck
traveling behind Meyers’ vehicle. It appears that the 1999 Dodge

to avoid a collision. The vehicle then came back on the road,
overturned, and travelled off of the West side of the road where it
came to rest in a field. Lynn Combs-Abels and her
passenger, Thomas Abels, age 61, Mendon, Ohio were transported to local
