Mercer County
3 arrested for
heroin
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports the arrest of three individuals
on drug related charges. On Wednesday August 6, 2014 Sheriff’s
Office detectives received information of heroin being
transported back to Mercer County from the Dayton area. The information
was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office heroin unit. The heroin unit
is comprised of Sheriff’s Office detectives and road patrol
deputies. Patrol deputy Mike Link observed the suspect
vehicle and it was stopped at 8:08 PM in the Chief’s Supermarket
parking lot in Coldwater.
Arrested were the driver of the vehicle 21 year old Danielle M. Pulfer
from Spencerville. Passengers 26 year old Aaron L. Rodriguez from
Celina and 23 year old Aron R. Lange from Celina.
Pulfer was arrested for a traffic violation (Lanes of travel),
complicity to trafficking in drugs, and a bond violation. Pulfer
was out of jail on bond for two previous felony indictments for
trafficking in drugs (Heroin).
Rodriguez was arrested on two outstanding felony warrants for failure
to appear in court on original charges of trafficking in drugs and
possession of heroin. He was also charged for possession of drug
abuse instruments. Rodriguez had two syringes and other
drug paraphernalia on his person.
Lange was arrested for possession of heroin. Lange was found with
24 suspected heroin capsules on his person. He was also arrested
and charged with resisting arrest.
Deputies recovered an additional suspected capsule of heroin from
inside the vehicle. The vehicle was seized by deputies, a 2006
Pontiac Torrent owned by Pulfer’s mother.
All three were transported to the Mercer County Adult Detention
facility and incarcerated. Deputies requested assistance on the
stop from Coldwater Police Department. The case
will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review and possibly
additional charges.
“It is critically important that the public continue to assist us with
information. Tips given to the Sheriff’s Office or your local
police department are a great help in combatting the problem,” stated
Sheriff Grey. “All three of these individuals have been in the system
before, while we have to find a way to break the cycle of addiction, we
will not have tolerance for those bringing drugs into our community.”
