Ohio Senator Bill Beagle
PSA Airline
Expansion at Dayton International
COLUMBUS—State Senator Bill Beagle (R-Tipp City) today attended the
groundbreaking for the over $1.6 million expansion of PSA Airlines Inc.
at the Dayton International Airport.
“Expansions like PSA Airlines continue to show our economy is improving
and that the Miami Valley is a great location for businesses to expand
and grow,” said Beagle.
PSA’s expansion plans include the construction of a 7,500-square-foot
addition to its existing training center, which will serve as the
company’s new operations center. PSA, which currently employees 446
people at the Dayton Airport, plans to create 42 new jobs including
flight instructors, mechanics and parts personnel.
Beagle, who serves as Chairman of the Senate Workforce and Economic
Development Committee, has focused his legislative efforts toward
fostering an atmosphere focused on growing and attracting businesses in
Ohio. Since the beginning of this year, the Miami Valley has seen
over one thousand new jobs created and a decline in the unemployment
rate.
“I look forward to watching the positive impact this expansion will
have on our community and working with our development partners as this
project progresses,” Beagle added.
PSA, which is a subsidiary of US Airways, has been headquartered at the
airport since 1987 and is the only corporate airline headquartered in
the state of Ohio.
