State Senator Bill Beagle
Local Fairgrounds a Recipient of $875,000 for Capital Budget Project

COLUMBUS—State Senator Bill Beagle (R-Tipp City) toured the Preble County Fairgrounds today, a location which was recently awarded $875,000 in Capital Budget funding. The Capital Budget provided much needed funding to community projects statewide.  Senator Beagle included the Preble County Fairgrounds proposal in his request for funding to the Miami Valley.

“These funds became available through wise economic policies and investment strategies, and I am excited to see them used for community improvements like the Preble County Fairgrounds,” said Beagle. “Our local fairground hosts many great events, including the upcoming Preble County Fair. These funds will continue to make Preble County a great place to live and raise a family, and I look forward to seeing these projects make a difference in our community.”

The Capital Budget was signed into law by Governor John Kasich earlier this year, and funding for these projects became available on July 1st. The Preble County Fairgrounds funding will include money for electrical upgrades, building improvements, and roadway improvements.

In total, Preble County proposals received over $1 million, including funding for the completion of the Amphitheater and an accessible playground for all children, which will be sponsored by the Board of Developmental Disabilities.
