Two arrested
for heroin possession
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports the Sheriff’s Office arrested
two female subjects on Wednesday 7-9-2014 in Celina for possession of
suspected heroin. Sheriff Grey stated a tip was received by the
Sheriff’s Office Detectives indicating heroin was being transported to
Mercer County from the Dayton area, with a possible delivery in
Celina. The tip provided a description of a possible vehicle and
description of the occupants. A vehicle was spotted with
occupants known to the Detectives matching information provided by the
tip pulling into the Marathon Gas Station on South Main Street in
Celina. Detectives and Mercer County Patrol Deputies made contact
with the occupants of the vehicle.
Arrested were the driver of the vehicle, 33 year old Skye Anna Daniels
of 3514 State Route 219, Coldwater, Ohio, and a passenger 19 year old
Cassandra Nicole Springer, of 1430 Meadowview Drive Apt. 8, Celina,
Ohio. Deputies and Detectives recovered two capsules of suspected
Heroin and a used syringe from property belonging to Daniels.
They also recovered 6 capsules of suspected heroin that was found on
Springer’s person.
A second passenger was released at the scene. The vehicle was
impounded and towed to the Sheriff’s Office. The case will
be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor with a request to file
felony charges.
