Man
arrested in John Boehner threats

An
Indiana man was arrested Thursday night at his home for allegedly
threatening Speaker John Boehner because Congress has not extended
unemployment insurance, according to the Justice Department.
Brandon
James Thompson was receiving unemployment checks for $341 each month,
and they ended Jan. 11, according to an FBI affidavit. Thompson
allegedly made a number of threats on Boehner’s website and to his
wife’s cell phone. Thompson had a concealed carry permit and no
criminal history, the FBI said. He admitted to the threatening calls,
the FBI said.
Thompson,
of New Castle, Ind., allegedly left a message on Boehner’s website
March 31, calling Boehner (R-Ohio) “drunk John Bin Laden” and
threatening to take his life “with my sniper rifle” because he
wanted to “play with 2.7 million lives...
