GPD makes two
drug arrests, Winchester K-9 team aids in one
On May 20, 2014, the Greenville Police Department and the Winchester,
IN Police K-9 Team conducted a drug operation in the 200 block of
Martin St. The Greenville Police Narcotics Investigators had
conducted several covert drug operations against
William V. Javier II, 27, of Troy, OH. Javier was
arrested for Drug Trafficking and Drug Possession after he offered to
sell a pound of marijuana on 05/20/14.
Following Javier's arrest, nearly two pounds of marijuana were
recovered along with cash and drug paraphernalia. Charges will be
filed with the Darke County Prosecutor's Office on Javier for
Trafficking and Possession of Drugs. Photos are from this arrest.
Earlier, on May 16, 2014, the Greenville Police Department executed a
search warrant for narcotics at 478 W. Lincoln Drive in Greenville. The
investigation was initiated by the U.S. Postal Service on 05/14/2014
after they intercepted approximately 12 lbs. of marijuana that was
being shipped through the mail system. Gregory D. Brodie, 41; Melinda
S. Ester, 36; and Michael W. Henson, 57 all of Greenville were all
arrested and charged with Possession of Drugs. Marijuana, cash
drug paraphernalia, and firearms were recovered from the residence.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges will likely
be filed.
